Introducktion
by Pro-Rector Jakobsen:
In
these very days (December 2009) people from all over the world are gathered here
in Copenhagen to discuss the climate. To judge from the presented programme, the
main focus of the UN conference seems to be on Planet Earth’s climate, which -
I suppose - also can be worth some attention, but we at the Southnordic Academy
of Donaldism still think that the whole debate would benefit significantly by
including a Donaldistic angle. Therefore the Academy has decided to hold a Duckburg
Climate Conference in Copenhagen 2009 simultaneous with “the other one”
taking place a few kilometres away from the Academy’s central campus.
The DCCC 2009-conference is opened with a keynote lecture here in the big auditorium by our own Academy rector, Dr.don. Jeronimus Gjøgsig, who will not only share with us his extensive knowledge on Donaldistic-climatological historiography, he will also present a series of examples of the fascinating Wind and Weather in Duckburg.
As the chief keynote speaker of the conference, we are most honored to have engaged a true Academic-Donaldistic capacity, one of our leading American colleagues: Professor Dr.don. John Thomas Airhead of the Department of Donaldistic Research (DDR) at the University of Calisota. Professor Airhead will present to us his comprehensive and systematic study of climate changes in Duckburg from 1950 to 2005, accompanied by a set of possible causes for the observed changes.
